Proper insulation and sealing of windows, doors, cracks and other potential breaches and entryways can prevent and eliminates drafts and leaks in your home
Eliminating drafts, leaks, and cracks is a practical and cost-effective way to keep climate controlled air from leaving your home which can help decrease your heating and cooling costs
Caulking doors, windows, cracks, and corners helps ensure that your home is airtight and gives it a neat, clean, and finished look
Here we are properly installing insulation around the HVAC pipes inside of an attic. The insulation material not only helps keep heat from escaping from the home through the ceiling of the room below but it also ensures that the heating and cooling ducts and vents are properly insulated to prevent the heating and cooling losses.
After distributing the insulation materials we even out the remaining areas to make sure that no ducts are exposed and that the home has an even and consistent layer of insulation to protect against any unwanted temperature changes.
After evening out the remaining materials we can see that no ducts are visible and that the insulation materials have been fully applied around the entire attic to ensure that this home retains as much heated and cooled air as possible.
A closer look shows that the insulation is fully spread going all the way to the edges of the roof to ensure that this home is as well insulated as possible and that heating and cooling are not lost around the edges of the roof or ceiling.
Here we see packaged insulation being installed on the roof of this building. This tightly packed insulation will lay between the roof and the ceiling to prevent any unwanted changes in temperature or drafts from penetrating into this building.
We can properly insulate every area of your home. Here we have insulated a hard to reach corner in the back of this attic. In addition to insulating the roof and ceiling we have also installed a padded sleeve around these hot water pipes to ensure safe and efficient passage of hot water through this attic area.
This side roof insulation prevents this attic from getting too cold in the winter-time. Additional vent chutes allow a small amount of warm air from inside the house to float up into the attic to prevent freezing damage from occuring during the winter months while the insulation pads make sure that this warm air is not wasted.
We can access even hard to reach areas in order to properly install insulation. Here we had to navigate in between beams, pipes, and ducts in order to install these insulation pads. Our knowledge of heating, venting, and air cooling coupled with our plumbing expertise and general remodeling skills allows us work on complicated projects and areas while making sure that all elements are properly addressed and installed.
One way to prevent heating and cooling loss while eliminating leaks and drafts is to install seals or liners around doors and windows. Here we installed a door liner to seal this kitchen door from the less controlled air in the garage. Sealing doors and windows using liners or similar methods is a great way of increasing the efficiency of your climate control while also preventing outdoor debris and pollutants from entering your home.
Another sealing option is to complete a tuckpointing project to seal your home from the outside. Tuckpointing fills in missing or cracked mortar on brick walls which helps prevent climate controlled air loss from inside and and eliminates outdoor leaks and drafts. In addition to applying mortar during the tuckpointing process it is also possible to apply a coat of sealer to form another layer of protection between your home or building and the outdoor elements.
This is a window repair project in which we used caulk to seal around the damaged frame and trim. Doors and windows are the largest entry points into any home and improperly sealed barriers can lead to large amount of heating and cooling loss.
After we removed the old trim and framing we installed a new window frame and applied caulk as necessary to make sure that there was a proper seal between this window and tht outside in order to prevent future damges, leaks, and drafts.
